@Tobias and Mike, is Friendica loading very slowly today, or is it just the frndk.de server? Every few moments the page completely locks up and stops responding.

frndk is running on a shared host

The DB calls from friendica are looking good but the load numbers are a bit high IMO. I guess it's not our fault this time

Thanks Paul.
Okay.. the lag seems gone now. I few minutes ago the page load was spinning every few minutes, I had to close the page because it was bogging down my computer and causing the browser to freeze.
oh yeah.. bb code, we can use that in comments?

@Birch Wind maybe hitting the "Pause" key can help - but it does not work with every browser I fear...

Maybe also take alook at the extensions you have installed in your browser. I had one in mine (an extension that would expand shortened URLs) that made Friendica nearly completely unusable.

It's never been fast and it's always been making Chrome pause every now and then for a few seconds, but that extensions really brought Chrome down to its knees in conjunction with Friendica.

That's nasty of the extensions. That's one more reason why I prefer Opera then - no need for me for extra addons in the browser

I am getting persistent nasty lag in #uzbl [different web engine and no addons]. I don't think this problem is a browser one.
